Almost two months ago I wrote "Tunisian indecency" the story of a Tunisian woman that have been raped by cops. The Interior ministry spokesperson "justified" the cops' horrible crime by the situation the woman and her fiancé (boyfriend, or whatever..) were caught in that night! Instead of protecting the rape victim the Tunisian authorities charged her with indecency..!!
Few days ago, court drops charges against the raped Tunisian woman, quite good! but the sequelae of the dramatic events, not only the rape but the reaction of the public opinion are indelibly marked, actually.
Another case in Siliana of a woman been mugged by her colleague, a friend of mine justified this agrression by the behavior of the victim. Oh wait, a woman can never be the victim in this country! she's always guilty of some "indecent" behaviour!
I still remember the "fake" aggression of Bouazizi by a policewoman. At that time, "we" all pretended that the woman slapped the young man, spat in his face and insulted him, what led to a revolution and the so-called Arab Spring. And I just try to imagine if Bouazizi was a woman!!
